How did you feel about the episode “Brrap Brrap Pew Pew,” and did it change your opinion on Diane and/or Mr. Peanutbutter’s character?

Growing up in a conservative country, I always thought of abortion as a bad thing. It’s what is taught to us.

But watching this, made the subject about abortion feel easier to talk about. The episode really educated me, and made me understand the people who make those choices.

I’m grateful that I stumbled on this series. It really opens a lot of doors for me…

How are you this far into the show and the only viewpoint that hasn’t aligned with yours is pro life? Do you just not think about things?

Im pro choice. But I do see where the arguments for the pro life movement come from, but end of the day, uterus only has US, and U, and another U, but thats the one thats in US so I already said that one so it doesnt count.

Jokes aside, if you arent pro choice, doesnt matter because chances are its not your choice to make in the first place. If it doesnt concern you, STFU

what an immature opinion. God forbid someone have a well put together opinion on a topic that doesn’t directly effect them.

I can tell you now you have plenty of opinions on issues that don’t effect you, and your opinions aren’t more or less valuable because the topic doesn’t effect you directly. I am not a woman and I have never even encountered FGM and yet I can make a convincing argument as to why it should be illegal and is morally abhorrent. I am enforcing a moral belief I hold onto others and can never effect me directly when I vote for politicians and councillors who push through legislation on banning FGM, and yet it’s only abortion that gets people saying “just dont get one duh”

there are plenty of good pro-choice arguments you can make and get upvotes for in this circle jerk, at least use one of them in your “im not a doctor but”

I’m pro life. I’m not a huge fan of the episode for obvious reasons, but it is a well written episode with some genuinely funny moments like the one pictured above. It did not ruin either of their characters for me because the decisions they make made sense for the way their characters were written. You can disagree with the decisions the characters make and still like the characters.

Didn’t change my opinion of either character, but I am often irked by how ppl talk about the episode. I often see it get praise for it’s “even handed” coverage of the issue while it just mocked pro life and made pro choice out to be objectively right, and even heroic, almost

Oh, I just watched this episode last night. I think it’s pretty funny but also pointing out some serious issues in the world. Especially the fact that it’s not talked about enough. And I think Diane continued to show her strong character for making the decision she felt was best. I like that it showed Princesses thoughts a bit too about her not being able to have kids she was kinda mad at Diane but realised in the end it’s none of her business. Sure, the song was a bit dark and gruesome, but it shows that women shouldn’t feel ashamed about making a choice that’s to do with them. Everyone may not agree to the matter, but I think we should all agree that it’s no ones business what we do and we should have the right to say yes or no and be able to sit with that and not be judged either way.

The phrase “pro-life” is problematic in and of itself. It is not like people who support choice are “pro-death.” The term should be “anti-abortion.”
