Fr. I know mothers like this. Of course they “love” their kids, but they put themselves first. No way on planet Earth a woman who really loves her kids more than herself would leave her kids behind, especially for the sake of a relationship. This goes for Amanda too. I know a few mothers who hate being mothers despite loving their kids. Their kids are secondary to their life. It’s fine and dandy to put mental health needs first and take care of yourself, but it’s quite obvious that her kids will never be as important to her as being “famous”, “rich”, or “beautiful”.
