It can be really silly but also deathly serious, so while that label kinda ignores the action/adventure side of the show it’s not really wrong either.

I don’t think she has to lash out at Mark in order for it to be realistic at all. She loves her son and he literally almost got beaten to death, there are plenty of real people whose low points after something like that wouldn’t involve taking it on their son who just went through arguably worse. It’s obviously fine to prefer to comic version over the show version, or vice versa, but to act like it’s a difference in levels of realism seems silly to me.
