I read yellowface by the same author and was disappointed by the book considering all the hype the book was getting. I’m upset I purchased the book instead of borrowing it. After reading your comment I might just skip reading anything from this author.

Leave the world behind by Rumaan Alam. Weird sex scene and description of the their daughter. Then the book just ended on nothing really.
