I had to put the book down for a couple of days after that story.

The name of the wind (book one of the king killer chronicles). A friend recommended it to me but after I finished it I realized he is probably never going to finish the series. I regretted investing that time in a series that won’t be finished.

That’s unfortunate but it seems like it just might not be for you. I absolutely loved the series and I read the English translations. The middle book is by a different translator. I think for me I found the ideas neat.
