Everyone that left Bojack at the end of the show is tragic no matter how you slice it.

When Diane needed a place to crash who was there?? And when she was upset at Fracking PB and after their divorce who helped clean her apartment without a thank you??

Todd freeloaded so hardbody and didn’t even thank him acted hella high and nightly like rent free living for years isn’t a big deal especially after getting kicked out by parents and having no where else to go. And while he did try to better himself with the rock opera how many years did he waste doing nothing??

PC and Bojack used each other to varying degrees throughout the relationship her leaving honestly I don’t have any issue.

All this to say everyone in Bojack’s life leaving when he was at the healthiest he’s ever been sobriety wise will always haunt me. It doesn’t matter how much recovery you make one day people can just decide they don’t want to be in your life anymore and you gotta just accept it.

If he publicly supported Diane’s bashing he might’ve gotten sued for defamation of character because the case (if there ever was one) was dropped hence why Bojack said “I am on your side but your not gonna win this one.”

Pretty sure he was contractually obligated to at least do the show I do remember the funny scene where he completely blew off the game show to help Bojack do the Nixon scene. But that’s one blow off compared to him actively sabotaging the network he works for. Not saying he couldn’t bounce back and get a new gig (hopefully Hanks controversy doesn’t black list him in Hollywoo) but he wouldn’t have gotten outve that situation with zero consequences.
