It can take months to years to secure even a visitor visa from many of the countries featured in 90 Day. It also costs money and the show probably will only cover the costs when it’s to further their drama or storylines.

It’s not a common concept generally in the US but there are actual laws regarding financial obligations grown children legally have to their parents: " Filial responsibility laws impose a legal obligation on adult children to take care of their parents’ basic needs and medical care. Although most people are not aware of them, 30 states in the U.S. have some type of filial responsibility laws in place."

Blew my mind to find this out since children come into this world without their consent and they do not get to choose their parents. States rarely enforce the policies but it can play a part in civil lawsuits. I guess the only way out of it is some sort of legal/financial emancipation order which is wild.

There is no hard minimum time requirement. You merely have to provide sufficient documentation that the marriage was entered into in good faith. Marriages have fallen apart in under a year and the beneficiary still can obtain their conditional (2 year) green card. All comes down to if the applicants satisfy the USCIS officer adjudicating their case. Luck of the draw.

Indian immigrants have to wait about the longest for the spousal/family visas though, which is probably why the other Indian fiances on this show never migrate to the US either it’s always the American’s going to India on 90 Day.

I have a co-worker who pays $3200 for one toddler (full day) and one elementary school aged kid (before and after school care). This is more than 50 percent of her gross earnings where we work. I think it’s madness and I wish I enjoyed children more, clearly running a daycare is a profitable enterprise in the US at least. This is in the PNW region.
