A lot of authors have some way to pay them online. It’s nice to support others, and publishers too I guess. But if it’s about tipping the band, so to speak cash in hand usually good.

I don’t think many authors, are anti-library. There may be minor conflicts of interest, amounting to a buck here and there… What libraries are beautiful, old institution.

If you have a mind to support authors… that’s wonderful. Do it. Don’t stress the minor points.

Giving away banned books is now a political meme. Conservative-like singer started doing it, then it became campaign stick, then other started doing it.

Now… troll authors are working hard to get the their books banned, so that they can be distributed by wealthy donors in retaliation.

2027 - it is no longer viable to publish a book unless it has a reasonable chance of getting banned. Publishers secretly conspire to create controversy and increasingly obscure literary genres.
