It’s the new season of Other Way, and also one of my first seasons in 90day universe
Yes you can get around! Even if your Spanish is not great let’s say you learn in Duolingo, people are kind enough to help you around and correct you, and not in a mean way. One of the best cities to learn Spanish
Well like in any country if that happens ask them to take you to the police station to fill a report (from both sides) and you want a translator. It will drop like flies if you ask for all of this (it’s not with their time)
I agree with you! I think Mexico City pre 2005 was a wild city. I would say post 2016 has been very safe and even corruption has come down (there are just in higher levels) but technology has play a lot of changes in street security. I think if someone comes to visit they are not going to stay let’s say Tláhuac because that’s too far from the tourist places, transit it’s not great if you don’t live or stay near a metro station or a metrobús station. So yes people are going to be in Roma, Condesa, Centro, anything over Insurgentes.
Years ago I was in LA and he got an Uber to go to a Mexican restaurant (was around South LA) the driver didn’t wanted to take us there and when he did, he roll the windows up and lock the doors.
I’m not going to say kidnappings doesn’t exist but they usually happen to people who live there, they monitor them and know their moves and value. If you are just a tourist on a tourist area nothing it’s going to happen.
