It’s one of those situations they need to hit perfectly or else it’ll sour the season or maybe the whole series.
It’s tricky since imo it’s essential for Mark’s character, he needs to overcome more than just bloody fights.
I think the scene should be played as serious if not more serious as Mark vs Nolan. It’s gonna be an uncomfortable scene no matter what and that’s partly the point, it’s a complete violation of Mark. It should be shown as brutal and gross and for that reason I think there should be a warning at the beginning of the episode for people who genuinely don’t want to see it.
