    I’ve gone to Mexico City a couple of times and freaking loved it. They really are in some of the safest neighborhoods there and I think the danger has been dramatized as well. I would go back in a heartbeat because there’s so much more I’d like to do there.

    That said, the hotel I stayed at on my first trip was in the news for collaborating with some kidnapping from gangs in Tepito (!!), but you can go to NYC or NJ and stay in an area what would equally cause alarm. Most of my family doesn’t like coming here and I’ve heard from many people that they don’t think NYC is unsafe. You’ve just got to keep your wits about you.







  • For sure. All of that. I didn’t like throwing the paper away when I was in China, Peru and Bolivia. I think though, that a great many countries in the world do this.

    When I lived in Japan, I had a VERY hard time getting used to no heating outside of a space heater / air conditioner heater. I hated every single day I was cold.
