I think it’s the dialogue for me. I rewatched the last episode this morning then watched episode 1.05 or whichever had the lowest imdb rating from season 1 and it’s a stark difference to me, not sure what happened but I’m hoping it gets better.

Yeah I don’t know if the slice of life stuff is just written or ordered poorly in this season but any time the plot’s not advancing the pacing grinds to a halt.

This show has been a lot worse without OmniMan, nice to see him back.

Really not a fan of this season so far to be honest. The pacing, animation, and overall writing just doesn’t feel as tight as season one. I’m holding out hope it gets better now that Nolan returned but idk.

Said the same thing but got downvoted to oblivion. Just wasn’t that interesting of en episode to me and that may be because of how much was jammed into it.

Agreed, it felt like a bunch of unlinked scenes to set things up and it really breaks the flow when you go from the league of lizard people to Debbie melting down.

I rewatched it and my sentiment is still the same. Writing just feels off so far this season and there’s a lot crammed in to where it feels like there’s no focus or storyline they’re building up to. I get they’re trying to show what the characters are going through but that still felt disjointed. I haven’t read the comics yet so I assume it’s building up to something.
