  • This is going to be a hot one. This sub really doesn’t give enough grace to participants of the other way. On the main show when people come from other countries there is much more understanding about cultural differences, and one of the nice parts of the show is watching compromises between cultural meetings happen. I get the ugly American stereotype and that it exists for a reason but it’s unfair to expect all compromise to come from their end. Especially if you supposedly love someone, you should be ok with them having some of their traditions or way of living kept that is important to them. And you can do as much research about other cultures as you want; culture shock can still exist.
