Just Marks relationship with his dad. The whole thing. Feels very similar to me and my dad. We used to get along great. I started doing the stuff that he meant for me to do and becoming more like him and that lead to some horrible periods were we didn’t get along at all. We very nearly had an actual fight at one point. Things were bad between me and him, and the worst part is that he loved me very deeply through everything, just unable to express it because of the way he was raised.
He chilled tf out, and is working through a lot of things that he had to do and go through when he was younger. He was raised a very specific way, and inadvertently passed lots on to me. He’s done a lot of things and they’ve left their mark. My mum made him realize that he doesn’t need to project certain expectations on to me, and I don’t need to become him.
It’s really weirdly hard to put into words, but the marks relationship with his dad feels extremely close to the bone, and I can’t help but see my dad as omni-man, even now that I’m older and moved out.
I would kill for viltrumite powers.
I wouldn’t care about money, or possessions or power or anything, I can go wherever I want. I’d explore the deep sea, I’d explore space (carefully, as to not get lost), I’d explore every mountain range in the world. No one would see me for years.
