This comic really is something. What about you, what’s your favorite emotional moment from the comics?
Oh man theres so many, but for me this is one of my favorites. A great example of Nolan’s growth imo
Busy time all over again.
So I guess in a thousand years he’ll have Nolan and Eve?
Discovers his wife is gonna live forever with him after thinking he’ll need to spend the majority of his lifetime without her.
“Rad”
Mark with the Vault-Tec fit 💀
Its to bad there daughter never got some of her powers
A viltrumite that can change matter would that be to op?
I assume because his powers are genetic while eves were from experimentation.
I bet it’s a case of simple extra-extreme life or death unlocking that power for either her or or future decendents.
You mean a god? Because that’s basically a god.
That was my favorite moment in the entire series. The final issue in general is just such a perfect payoff. I revisit it a lot.
I loved every part of it. Just a perfect ending
Imaginary critics: EXACTLY! It was TOO perfect. No conflict, no tragedy, just mundane, lazy, fairy-tail, happily ever after/—
Me running in from off-screen to kick these imaginary foes in the dick: SHUTTHEHELLUP!!
!My father passed away a few years ago, I was 24, after Nolan died and mark talks about being alone… man, I had to put that shot down and have myself a good cry!<
Same Icwas 25 and got introduced to this comic.
To me it was you dad, i will still have you.
Fucking hell.
you dad, i will still have you.
I hugged my dad immediately after that issue, I was in middle school!
That shit was one of the realist and most existential conversations I’ve ever seen in a comic book…
Mark coming back from the reboot universe and realizing he lost 5 years with his daughter. Big tears!
Mark coming back from the reboot universe and realizing that they changed artists made me cry
Didn’t Mark have thar exact fear of happening to?
When she says “are you my daddy?” Just gets me every time
Having had a daughter of my own since after the first time it read that, after rereading the series this scene destroyed me.
All of issue 113
I feel like this panel never gets talked about and it’s sad cause it’s one of my favorites
500 years
!Which one?!<
Cue the El Dorado scene
This one has always stuck with me
Mark and Cecil’s relationship is one of the best written things I’ve ever seen. It’s like a rollercoaster where you’re crying and cheering at the same time.
Same, I loved this
The villain getting revenge for his sister frying his wife and child by accident fighting Mark.
Just the panels give chills seeing the burnt bodies
“Are you my dad?”
Hit like a truck.
The last we see of Robot and Monster Girl where we see how robot lost everything and there will be no happy ending, no redemption, no forgiveness, the only person that loved or will ever love wants nothing to do with him and he will get exactly what he “wanted:” to be left alone so he can solve all the worlds problems.
Yes, their relationship isnt talked about enoug its genuinely heartbreaking shit that surpasses so much of the comics contained timeline, their bond is so profound its hard to grasp just how long they were together… their ending was brutal.
Bright side, he’s got 2000 years of memories to keep him company…
I know it would ruin the impact of the moment and all that was set up but i really hope robot fairs better in the series, it just sucks so bad watching your favorite character end up in the worst state possible.
I just hope they don’t make him act so irrationally when he kidnaps all the kids. Like, yeah, stupid, how did you think that would work out for you?
I’m sorry but to me Thrag is manipulating his children in these panels.
Panel 2 shows he is ready to crush her head but calms down and lies in order to keep her in line.
This is my interperation but I am somewhat open for yours.
Yeah he’s definitely lying
I’m curious as to what you think about this particular series of panels. What do you think he’s feeling here, what touches you about it?
For me, I think he’s enraged that he needs to even try to explain himself to this lower life form, this waste of Viltrumite dna… but he knows he needs her, so he tamps it down.
It could be a mix between that and genuine compassion.
But then again, the idea of him just being irredeemable and awful and manipulative is also good
😂😂😂🤣
