What is going on in America? In Germany, if such a book had so much demand they’d make a joke about it and consider buying a second exemplary (what would take 3 months due to bureaucracy)

Maybe a side note on the local newspaper would be released or a bookstore next to the library would run an ad that they have the book in stock.

My local library only has a good variety of German books. So… I often stick to German.
