Little Crime Stoppers is my favorite episode

I started the first Jack Reacher novel and gave up as soon as he jumped in bed with the female cop like 2 minutes after they met. This was after he had been accused of a crime and she knew nothing about him at all aside from that. I’m in no way a prude but it just came across as such a big WTF that I just put the book down.

I’m sorry for your loss. Grandmothers are special. I’m glad you have a book and series that give you comfort. Books are great ways to feel safe and are a place of refuge during difficult times

My safe book is Red Mars, by Kim Stanley Robinson. I know that might sound like an odd choice. I bought the paperback of this book when it came out in 1993 and I was 14. It blew my mind, and had everything that I liked- space travel, living on Mars, science, politics, psychology, etc. It has always been my go-to comfort book when I am low. I still have that original paperback and even got it signed by KSR a few years ago.

Randy is a Broncos fan. A number of years ago the Ravens stopped the Broncos from reaching the Super Bowl by defeating them at the last minute with a wild play. The Broncos and Chiefs are in the same division and play each other twice a year. The Broncos have lost to the Chiefs in each of these games for the last several years (until a couple weeks ago). As for the Dolphins, they are good this year so I think that’s why they were included. So Randy would not want to be in any universe in which he was a fan of these teams and not the Broncos

For $1M I’d watch the Britney Spears or Oprah episode for 24 hrs
