My physical TBR is 32 books. They’re all on the same shelf and a half (the other half of the shelf is occupied by reference books), and once I read them they get shelved properly elsewhere. My rule is that if the shelf is full, I’m not allowed to buy any more books until there’s physically room for them. Love this system because it also makes it really easy to see what I haven’t read yet when I’m ready to start a new book.

Same. Tamsyn Muir and Ann Leckie are a couple of my favourite authors, so if one of them has blurbed a book then there’s a good chance I’ll like it. I’ve also loved a lot of book with Alix E. Harrow’s quotes on the cover, so her name is one I always look out for as well despite the fact that I’ve never actually read any of her books.

  • Midelaye@alien.topBtoBooksBooks you thought were overrated.

I’m going to get downvoted for this but… Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. It was fine, if extremely cliche, but I was expecting much better from a book that’s currently rated 4.6 on GoodReads and I’m pretty sure was closer to 4.9 when I originally picked it up (there’s been some review bombing lately I think but I’m not touching that drama with a 10 ft pole). In my opinion, it really should have had the romance scenes toned down and been marketed as YA rather than adult.
