Cormac McCarthy’s The Road and No Country For Old Men don’t suffer too much from it, but The Border Trilogy etc. is rife with obfuscation. It’s a violent slog and it doesn’t do anything for me. I realize this sub thinks he’s the eel’s eyebrow, but we differ.
