For me, it’s Yolanda. She’s not interesting and she doesn’t treat Todd very well. It really stings to have your significant other tell you, “I feel weird that you have no discernable life direction.” Then she lies to her family about him, she asks him to cover up the lie, she lies to him (by omission) about her family, and she gets him kicked out of her family’s house. Todd did the right thing by breaking up with her.

Personally, I think he’s just a (well-written) slimeball. I love him as a character (and you can’t go wrong with his VA), but I hate him as a person.

Not quite changing me as a person, but changing my perspective. Diane’s talk with Mr. Peanutbutter (“I’m so tired of squinting”) really resonated with me. I was in a toxic, abusive marriage when I first watched that episode, and there were times when their relationship reminded me of my own. That scene in the library pointed me in the direction of realizing that I wasn’t getting the kind of love I needed. Happily divorced now, but that monologue hits me in the gut every time.
