This was something I really wanted in the comics, specifically with Lucan as he’s a named Viltrumite unlike the two randos Nolan fights, and I was very excited when he did it. They also named the blonde dude, it’s a bit amusing that they named him “vidor” and gave him a visor tho.
I think Lucan should be more toned too, but I think they decided to go with a strongman gut type look for him and I kinda respect the creative decision although I’m not a fan of it.
I never made the connection but I’ve always thought he appeared German.
It happens offscreen, Donald tells Rick that he’s an android in the comics and also that he didn’t know he was for some time, but we never see Donald go through the whole adventure of discovering he’s an android
The big thing is that there is just so much stuff in these universes. Like, DC has black canary and if she figures out she can easily stun a viltrumite with one call, it’s over, same with Marvel, Black Bolt solos the entire Viltrumite army, he’s already an extremely overpowered character, viltrumites are the perfect matchup for him. On top of this, Dr. Fate and Dr. Strange have a lot of portals and shit that could utterly annihilate an unsuspecting viltrumite. Let alone the fact that billionaires like Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark could absolutely build viltrumite killer suits reminiscent of the one’s robot built that could easily dispatch viltrumites. It’s all about how prepared they are for this assault, especially considering the fact that Cecil stated a looped sonic attack could outright kill mark.
