1 year agoI am very casual by this sub’s standards and I’m in the ballpark of 1 per month on average. That said, I read considerably more than most of the folks I work with. If I had to guess an actual average among Americans I would guess it’s less than 5, maybe as low as 1. I am sure it is heavily dependent on culture so I would not be willing to venture a guess for people outside the US.
As my mom was starting to decline, she bought the second book in the twilight series and Glenn Beck’s latest book for me, a left leaning, 30 something man at the time. I still have both of them somewhere (although I never read them) because I couldn’t bring myself to explain why they were awful choices for me.
