These aren’t novels, but “My Mom Hates Me In January” and “Boy Was I Mad!” And “The Wuzzles” were some of my favourite books in the late 80’s & early 90’s.

I would look at the map of the little world in the Wuzzles books for what seemed like hours, just imagining myself being there and getting into adventures without even reading a single word. I can’t remember the actual stories at all, but I very vividly remember the feeling I got from reading them, or having them read to me.

I read Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk, and it was…interesting.

Cliffhanger end to a chapter…then the next several chapters have nothing to do with the interesting sequence you’ve just read, thus killing the pace, and excitement.

Know the quickest way to get a teenage boy to read a book? Tell him it was banned.

I agree that it’s one of the funniest moments, yes.
