i thought the joke was that he only became a somewhat good therapist and help bojack make progress when he was drunk. he’s not a good therapist, but he made a cogent point as a normal person who observed bojack for a while

it’s one of those things where he made a choice that probably was best for princess caroline in the sense that she would have probably sold to Charlie and she would’ve hated it afterwards (potentially) but was still wrong because he went behind her back and betrayed her trust. he probably saw it as a sound decision at the time, thinking he could save her suffering in the long run, but ultimately making her feel powerless and betrayed in their relationship and not speaking honestly with her was probably worse. i feel like the show might have framed the firing a bit poorly iirc, but that might just be because he’s shown as largely calm which is typically a signifier in media of a morally superior person, can’t say for sure if that was what’s intended.
lmao i had this reaction when i noticed it too, it’s a really cool bit of writing that is so heavy that you can’t help but lose your mind a little bit. beatrice was such a sad character, damn now i wanna watch the show again
this probably isn’t it but there was a sitcom with a talking horse called “Mr. Ed” back in the 60s, at least one of the writers knows about it cuz they reference the shows theme song in one episode, but it’s likely incidental. it would be funny if they wanted to explore what the talking horse’s life was like after being a widely famous tv celebrity, obviously unlikely but would be funny.
why not sell your sadness as a brand fr fr
i don’t know what this means, the only thing relating to mister peanutbutter and 35 i can think of is that diane turned 35 in the episode where they had the birthday party. i hope somebody figures out this joke because it is irking me
given who voices diane i’m not sure the writers really have a problem with it

i don’t feel like the show ended on a happy note, i felt like it ended largely neutrally. bojack is still in prison and he has long time friends (two of them) but they hold him at a distance, he has the possibility of relapse, and his friend who was pretty much closest to him essentially implied they would never talk again. even in the conversation he had with todd in the finale, bojack showed he wasn’t entirely clear of his need to be liked in the public eye. anything can happen with him, but regardless he needs to work for it. i love a clockwork orange, but the story and characters are very different from bojack.
