Stuff about our guts and also how it affects our brains. Idk why the idea of little microbes or parasites in our guts telling us what to do is fascinating to me. Also, did you know our gut has its own rudimentary “brain” called the “enteric nervous system”? Cool stuff.

The Neverending Story. I saw it at Chapters at the age of 9 and upon reading the back blurb I had to get it. A book about a kid being sucked into a book? JFC!! Dream come true!!

It’s not that great even as an adult…

That was such a good book. And +1 on the audiobook thing. Well worth it!

The Orphan Master’s Son.

I don’t really regret it… But it opened my eyes to the cruelties that still exist in this world and sent me on a binge of reading about North Korea for a while. That whole journey made me feel so depressed that this type of society still exists in the world today. I was born in South Korea but emmigrated when I was 7, so I wasn’t really exposed to much information about NK; but it kinda made me feel ashamed about not knowing this existed so close to my mother country.

Perfume was very thought provoking. I kinda feel like I need to read it again for full comprehension.
