I didn’t put it down because I promised a friend I’d read it (she loved it and wanted to discuss it) but it had a couple of good ideas which the author singularly failed to capitalize on. All the characters were boring and flat and I didn’t care what happened to them or understand how this system could even be supported practically.

I won’t lie, I would have loved to get those books just for the historical interest.
