Neither of those two examples have anything to do with Cartman. Yes media usually has a message that gets scrutinized due to a protagonist/antagonist conflict. You’re not suppose to empathize with the antagonist if they’re someone on the level of Cartman (it’s been 26 seasons so I don’t care about the 3 decent things he’s done since 1997)
Also you’re daft if you think SP was the only positive representation of a black family in media (Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince for the most obvious example)
