Preferring the original source material is usually the norm in adaptations, since the show/movie usually has to skip a bunch of stuff, change details etc etc. But this show is becoming one of the rare exceptions where more people prefer the adaptation.

But there’s nothing wrong with you preferring the comics over the show

I mean, it was Eves origin story, explaining how she got her powers, how they work, etc.

And, as a little cherry, she did all that heroing and then showed exactly what Mark was doing at that point, which helped emphasise the experience gap between the two even more.
