If any character in this book had been able to string together 3 coherent sentences of dialogue with another character, the story would have been over in 2 pages.

I read it, didn’t think it was the worst thing I ever read but definitely did not deserve the adoration it got. Also couldn’t get over how the author clearly saw himself as both of the boy-hero characters.
