  • I ended up liking the book, but I can see people’s arguments. The romance did seem a bit out of place, or at least I wasn’t really shown the romance developing in a believable way or what it was about each other that they liked.

    Also, I hate it when characters are given shit for seemingly no reason. Wallace might not have been the best person in life (or the worst), but he did nothing to Meg or Nelson, and they were both assholes to him for quite a while with no real reason.




  • The Orphan Keeper, by Camron Wright (read it for a book club). The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, by Mark Manson. Both of them were poorly written drivel. Both of them made me angry. Both were poorly researched and fact-checked (Orphan Keeper is fiction, but based on a true story). Both contained characters I wouldn’t want to be around in real life (the fictional Taj and the real and probably narcissistic Mark Manson).
