  • I got curious after I read your comment and found the uni she went to as well, lol. I grew up a few hours from where she lives so I figured it might have been a uni I know. It turns out they do actually have a Dance Troupe. Whether she was on it or not, I can’t confirm but it’s plausible.

They also have a few scholarship programs, but I don’t think they have one specifically for the Dance Troupe. It’s not entirely impossible that she got a partial scholarship or a grant (definitely not a full scholarship though) because they have a number of programs, but I agree with what you’re saying. Just seems more like manipulating/stretching the truth rather than a complete lie to me.

  • Lmao, I’m guessing there’s not many Filipinos on here so people don’t realise that how unusual a full tuition scholarship for dance (of all things) is. Those types of scholarships are typically only given to people in traditionally prestigious or lucrative fields like STEM, medicine, etc. to encourage people to go into those fields, and they’re extremely competitive in the humanities and performing arts. A fully paid, university-level education to be on a dance team is practically unheard of. Probably was given a grant due to her economic background and called it a scholarship.
