I’ve been watching the Mary and Brandon saga unfold this season. Mary is one of my least favorite people on this show ever and is truly evil in my opinion. She’s smart which makes her behavior all the worse. She’s told a few lies along the way which we know about like disconnecting her wifi. When Brandon first started talking about Mary he told us she had a college scholarship to be on the dance team and gave it up. Fast forward a few episodes and Brandon and Mary are talking about asking her grandparents for money. Mary says something along the lines of her grandfather paid for her college. Brandon corrects her and says she had a dance scholarship. Which got me thinking and I honestly think the dance team and college weren’t real. It wouldn’t surprise me if she made it up to sound more appealing to Brandon or even worse guilt him later by saying she gave up college for him. The second option is truly manipulative and I wouldnt put it past her. I’m curious what others think
I saw FB photos of her in a large college classroom. She looked like all the other students in the large classroom. Young, carefree, no ugly tattoos. Her life & appearance has really gone downhill. It’s a shame she didn’t complete her education. Now she’s pregnant & poor. Married to a lazy do nothing who lays in bed playing video ground all day.
I really doubt she has dance scholarships. I joked on a different thread before that I missed out on scholarships bec I’m pretty sure I can also qualify if she can with those moves😂
In the first episode, when she said that he made her quit the dance team, I knew immediately she was lying. Maybe she went to college for one or two semesters and then failed out. But she definitely wasn’t on the dance team and he definitely didn’t make her quit.
Yeah I don’t think he can “make her” do anything…
I think the “dance team” is her and her friends doing tiktok dances.
As far as I know, she shifted programs twice and didn’t finished first years of both programs. It was all over her Facebook.
Do you know which programs she was in? Someone on here said that one of them was forestry?

Wow! She should have finished the info tech track — it might have helped her with those awful, endless social media posts. Hopefully, the baby will take her away from the constant online flimflamming and begging. Fingers crossed.

I think it’s also important to remember that scholarship does not equal full ride. Should could’ve gotten a few 100 from the school due to her family’s financial status and called it a scholarship.
We’ve all seen her dancing lol. She didn’t have a dance scholarship. She never went to college.

I’m surprised she wasn’t pushing Brandans to take her to the US. She probably thinks life here is what she sees on TV shows.

This blew my mind. She says something like how the government doesn’t help everyone in the Philippines but that’s the case in the US too.
I thought this was for sure where the storyline was going. They borrowed money (from who I don’t know) to build and set up a shop, saw them in there once, then she’s buying and selling mobile phones (but not in the shop 🤷🏻♀️) but still complaining they can’t make money. Then with the baby and his mum is suddenly great I thought for sure going to the US is the next move, maybe he genuinely can’t afford to apply for that visa but it could be the story for next season with some TLC money.
Someone shared that he’d need to make at least $20k/year if he was just sponsoring her. Not sure how much he’d have to make to sponsor her and the baby. I’m sure he could do it considering that OR has better safety nets and pay scales than other states. However, I think it’d require him leaving and getting established here. Who knows how nutty Mary would go over “being abandoned” by him if that’s what they did.
Mary wouldn’t let him go. The fact that he can’t even sit next to a girl or interact, I don’t know how he would be able to work…
It’s quite strange that Mary uses reverse psychology asking him to go or leave to get him to stay. Hella manipulative.

Lol her dancing is terrible. There’s no way she had a scholarship. Also I disagree that she’s smart. I think she’s stupid af (her plans for making money and those are several examples) and just a vindictive obsessive bitch. They are both idiots and deserve each other. Highly doubt either could get into college.

Honestly-what was she doing while Brandon was sending all of his money to her so she cd build the home? He supported the family 100% now that he’s doing nothing there is nothing. Yes he shd get off digital devices and get to work but as far as I can see she’s contributed nil to the relationship. The shed posing as a store doesn’t count
Grade school years in the PH are different than in the US. Her “college” is in comparison to a Junior/Senior year.
The college story seems mostly weird due to the timeline and Covid- not sure when she’s saying she went but if she would have gone around 18-19 that would be the first year of the pandemic, which doesn’t track + the whole lacking any rhythm.
Mary and I are the same age. In 2018, she was just starting her first year of college. But it looks like she might have ditched uni even before meeting Brandan because there are no pics of her being still on the university on her supposed to be second year of college (2019). So when Covid came, i think she’s already out of school.
These two need to grow up - can you imagine the life their child will have to endure?
