Weirdly enough, I’ve never actually read the same book twice. I’ve been an avid reader since about age 7. For me personally, part of the charm of books is experiencing the story for the first time/reading plot twists and having your mind blown. The thought of rereading a book and already knowing how it’s going to end isn’t appealing to me. I know on a reread I could pick up on things I might have missed the first time, especially in a very lengthy book, but idk I’ve just never reread any books before lol. Once is enough for me. There’s nothing wrong with being drawn to newer books you haven’t read before because it’s exciting to dive into a new story. Leave your old books on the shelf and if you run out of new books to read, then pick up whatever old book you’re drawn to reread
