Daisy Darker is easily my most hated book this year. If you’ve already read And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, then this feels like a cheap, low knock-off version of it. Agatha’s version is far superior. The “twist” was bullshit, the attempts at being deep and philosophical with all the “sometimes” non-thoughts almost made me DNF the whole thing. I truly hated every minute of it. Glad to see someone else feels the same!

I’m reading Daisy Jones at the moment and I can honestly say I do not understand how this book has blew up the way it has. It even has its own TV adaptation which is confusing since it’s written entirely in interview style excerpts and thus makes it extremely difficult to immerse yourself in the feeling of the book in any real way.
I was not expecting to see this one on this list. Dark Matter is easily the best book I’ve read this year, possibly ever. It blows my mind sometimes how different our perspectives can be.
I loved Dark Matter, it is easily my top book of the year. I ordered Recursion too and will read that before the year is over. I want to read everything by him now.
