Definitely agree with this, the first book definitely wasn’t a 5 star for me but the rest really hit in the right spot.

The start is a bit slow but it’s actually a really beautiful book, I’d recommend giving it another go.

Came here to say this, I reckon I got 10-15 pages in and I hated the dialogue, I was trying to figure out what the hype was.

Where the crawdads sing…… I think I read 15 pages and I just couldn’t get into it. I know it was suppose to be really good, I just couldn’t get around the dialogue.

This. You’re always going to feel like this if you don’t try and become apart of the community you are living in. learning a language is also really good for your brain.
