I think it’s less “NO ONE knew Nolan was omniman” and more “People in town likely knew, while people farther from the neighborhood didn’t - only because they knew ONLY of Omniman, but not Nolan”
By everyone, I’m assuming you mean DK’s protege, the Atlantean Queen and the kids at school - of which the first two are industry insiders and likely already knew last season and the last of which seem to know the cover story?
A prime example of “correct, but not right”
And now they, just like her dad, can use her as the scapegoat
“How am I supposed to know that’s up to code?”
It’s a good sentiment.
But so is “Why wasn’t the lot cordoned off if it was so dangerous?” Or “Why isn’t the city government trying to see if Eve’s work IS up to code”
