In recent memory I’m going with Eris from ACOTAR. I always loved him and his entire family. Same for the King of Hybern in the same series.

I love ACOTAR by Sarah J Maas and the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning.
Most of everything I’ve read in the modern era. There’s hardly any true talent left anymore and writers like Stephen King keep rehashing the same tired ideas.
“The Kid” by Sapphire which is a sequel to “Push”. Remember the movie “Precious” about the big black girl who was pregnant by her father who raped her and he gave her AIDs? “The Kid” is about her son and all I remember is the boy kept raping other boys and was a criminal. I ended up enjoying the book in some ways, but I’d never read it again. It’s pretty true to life for a segment of the black community especially the ones I grew up with in a very hard-core neighborhood.
I never spent my savings on a book series, but I did spend a small chunk gathering some in a short period of time such as Harry Potter (still working through), Throne of Glass, ACOTAR, The Civil War trilogy by Shelby Foote, and some others. I’m working on Black Dagger Brotherhood now by buying about 2-3 books at a time to catch up to where she is.
