It seems all of the comments disagree with us, OP. I don’t see them working, either. I get the intensity of meeting the family, but that was… a lot. I’d be so turned off.

Yet another ignorant American on this show assuming that this young girl’s SOLE goals in life were to come here to a dirty, petting-zoo scented house with no room for her rather than stay in her own country, surrounded by family who love her (or at least, surrounded by carpets that don’t need deep-cleaned). This scene was infuriating.

He’s absolutely gross. I hated how she admitted that he’s asked her to ask HER parents for financial help. I wish someone I was dating would suggest that as they’d be gone immediately. He has no business trying to get married when he couldn’t even afford an acceptable home to bring her to. There’s no way this can last unless she remains willfully ignorant forever.
