I just look at the imprint it’s published under. Del Rey is the adult fantasy and sci-fi imprint of Random House.

The Witch King by Martha Wells was the most disappointing. I love her Murderbot series but this was meandering, confusing, and had one too many things going on.

The worst was Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. I find myself getting annoyed at every “Romantasy” book that is marketed as a fantasy with romance when really they’re romance books with a sprinkle of fantasy. And not a well thought out fantasy at that.
