I mean, there’s a difference in terms of realism. Supers busting fish skulls and destroying cities isn’t real, and is standard disaster movie fare. What happens to mark here is a lot more real and personal in its horror.
Tbf I’d rather watch a mass murder scene with parents than a rape scene, even if the mass murder is worse. Plus people are more likely to have survived a sexual assault irl than other kinds of violence.
