It’s a multi-cultural and underserved neighborhood. Yes, it’s rough in some parts, but there’s a lot of life to it. No need to say it’s “one of the ghettos”.

It’s been considered The Hood for 60yrs. We used to say ghetto. Same with a couple other areas. Their da hood… I grew up there and Oakland, there is da hood there too. In Oakland you also have Oakland Hills that are rich now, most people don’t live there though. They are single homes.

Oakland has BART which is a subway, and has huge homeless crisis that is decades old. Regular city stuff like drugs, but prostitution is (or was) a issue too. Carjacking is another common one. I live in the burbs now and never go back. I climbed my way out of there, got my parents out, and never go back. My sister lives in Alameda which is way nicer than Oakland but the crime is still present, and I just am aware so to me it is so unpleasant to visit. I lived in East Oakland. It was tough, but made me driven.

Yeah, I know. I’m from Oakland as well. I’ve lived in NYC and DC as an adult, but came back to hang out with my nieces and nephew while they grow up, but it’s a steep price to pay.

In that there’s a link between crime and income as well as a link between income and lack of bathrooms, yes.

Rob seriously gaslighting all of America that Inglewood is some massive slum where having an outhouse is normal when it’s home to the Forum and SoFi Stadium, countless families and normal working-class people with working indoor toilets, and the median home price is $830k. I have never in my life seen someone living like Rob does in Los Angeles, he might as well be one of those illegal RV dwellers because the rent on his place has gotta be about the same as the vanlords charge the methheads
