This show has a lot of side characters that arr very purposeful and charming in their own ways. I think that’s pretty cool and it does show a lot of talent in character writing. I think my favorite example of a work with consistently great side/minor characters is Monster (anime). Not only are the characters well-written and memorable but it connects perfectly to the themes of the show, which is about how all life is meaningful and valuable. And if you wanna reinforce, you want more than just the main characters to matter to us.
