So I haven’t fully seen the episode yet but isn’t Duplikate in her like early 20s/late teens and Immortal is thousands of years old and kinda her boss? Is this not like a problematic relationship?
I’d be more upset because it shows him to be a terrible leader lol
The day before the episode aired I talked to my sister about how people would say this exact thing
Nolan and Debbie had a huge age gap
she’s many times him
Hey, if you count all the life experiences Kate had through her dead clones, the gap is marginally closer.
Someone on youtube said this about DupliKate:
Instant orgy. Just add water.
Lol
Do they need our approval to date? We are just watching the show. I also think it was problematic when Omni-Man killed all those people.
The meme “when you’re in your 20’s it’s great you can date a guy or his dad” is a thing for a reason
As long as she’s an adult it’s fine, however I kinda think that it was under cooked. Immortal was shown to be disapproving of the new guardians and really strict so I don’t believe that he’d warm up to one of them that quickly.
Isn’t she a teen like they were called teen team before so I assumed they were all 17/18
Yeah I mean it’s kind of icky but I don’t really care about it. Immortal is kind of a douche in general so it matches his character that he’d bang his 18-20 year old employee. I don’t really care about Immortal or Kate’s character enough to be really offended by it. If Kate’s into him then more power to them. Plus Immortal is like 1000 years old so age gaps aren’t very relevant for him
I mean Omni Man is like thousands old too and Debbie was like in her 40s i believed, and even Omni-Man married Adressa who was a bug that was a few months old 💀
You know I was surprised Rex didn’t talk shit. I could’ve seen him say something about how Kate gives good head “but clearly Omni man is better at it.”
Then again either immortal would ignore it, or beat the fuck out of Rex
Considering Immortal is kind of a dick/detached from social norms because of his age, I figured it made sense. But it’s definitely problematic, I doubt Kate is mentally mature enough for a literal caveman. Especially one who’s in a position of power like he is. I’m interested to see if the show will ever point out how toxic of a relationship this could develop.
Lot of people in this thread don’t recognize the difference between age and maturity. When you have less life experience it’s easier for people set the standard for how you should be treated in a relationship as you haven’t had the time to develop them yourself.
