My ex was like that. I earned way more than him and he lived in a crappy room with roomates in London while i lived in France in a nice brand new flat that i bought by MYSELF. He kept telling me i wasnt good enough , kept giving me the cold look as soon as i told him i bought myself something nice. He was bringing money around for every single topic . I could have said something like i didnt liked Mcdonald and he would just reply " yea of course because you’re to good for fastfood" (while i LOVE a good kebab or burger king).
