This isn’t me complaining about the violence. I actually think it’s cool to look at, but I do wonder if there’s another reason for the intense violence besides showing that the moment is heavy or that show is for adults. Either way, I think it’s cool!

I mean logically it makes sense, if Superman was real he’d end up punching holes in his enemies on the regular. In a realistic universe, your enemies won’t scale with your power level like it’s an anime. Battle beast shows up too early and beats Mark’s ass, and >!mark overestimates angstrom levy and ends up beating him to a pulp!<
I thought the same, and i guess it’s just because the writers (I didn’t read the comic, i suppose it’s like this even there) wanted just to be realistic and also with impactful scenes.
I mean, you can’t show a giant crushing a kid and those kid dies just by laying down. The gore helps a bit to the viewers to realize that shit is gonna fly in that moment.
Or this is the reason in my opinion.
It shows how super powered people would actually work. Not the evil side but how alienated they would be. Robot with intelligence is so far above most people he can’t relate to their emotions. Immortal is so old and jaded and cynical. Monster girl is passed because she is treated as a child but is a living nuke. Nolan isn’t human he is an alien sent to conquer.
If u are strong enough to punch through concrete with ease, most of the world isb1 ply bud.

it’s not just violence, it’s a show where violent thing happens to the main characters, which is unusual, make you really worried for them >!(i can already see ppl loosing their shit as debbie gets her arm broken by Angstom)!<
Invincible is meant to be a superhero show with more realistic consequences. Of course the heroes, especially younger ones, are gonna get brutalized.
