The show is based on following couples during the 90 day K1 visa period. This spinoff show:

  • doesn’t follow any engaged couples or recently married couples
  • Ed isn’t even with the girl he went on the 90 day show with in the first place. He’s an American with another American… so how does this qualify him to be on this show now?

Fr. I miss the original 90 Days. Partners were actually here on a K-1 visa and we went along for the ride to see if they get married or not. Before the 90 Days was okay because it covered what happened before the K-1. The other way was interesting when it stayed true to the “are they actually going to marry” narrative.

The current season of 90 Day doesn’t seem to have anyone in the US on K-1 besides scripted drama Gino and Jasmine. Nikki is in Moldova, Rob doesn’t have Sophie in the US on a K-1, and honestly I’m lost on the others.

Last Resort bothers me for the same reasons you mentioned. And a lot of it just seems they’re grasping at straws, with the drama rehashed from the couples’ pasts or embellishing. I know people have talked about new production teams, Discovery buying some shares in it, but it’s totally changed. Half the time, I don’t know why I’m still watching. I guess because there’s nothing else to watch? Or I’m hoping they return to the original narrative of the show? Idk but it’s ass. Especially with The Other Way only being 45 min vs 85-90 min. It’s almost annoying to watch bc I forget what’s even happening, and most of the episodes is filler with “coming up” bits. I feel like I’m getting 25 min of content with 20 minutes of recap and coming up filler.

    Real world road rules challege.

Tune in to see your favorite reality tv cast members do shit that isnt the focus of the reality show they were even originally on.

Got to be much easier on production to re-use the same fucks over and over as much as possible.

90 day fiancé is based off couples during the K1 visa process. A spin off show, which is what Last Resort is, does not.

I don’t think it’s ironic at all. They’re all part of the franchise. Same idea with the Family Chantel. All about ratings. And I’ve actually like watching Last Resort.

What is ironic, is that all of this is on what we (used to?) know as The Learning Channel. Quite the 180 it has done. 🫠

      Thank you!!

TLC was The Learning Channel- it had a different mission back then.

Now it’s like modern day Freak Show- exploitative and crass. (Sadly, I have succumbed to the its lures, but I remember what it used to be like. I remember
