To me even since Happily Ever After she’s been really really let down by Asuelu and his family are willing to have them live in poverty because of their own expectations.

Sure there are cultural expectations and things, but surely if you know your grandchildren would suffer because of the amount of money you’re asking for you’d either dial it back or not ask at all.

Sure Kalani teams up with her sister but I think it’s because she feels utterly unheard in her relationship. Can you blame her? Asuelu and her don’t have the same love language at all and they have a huge barrier in terms of language and culture.

Just my thoughts.

Being supportive of victims means you’re supportive of victims, period. When you “question how she’s handling it” and bring up defamation lawsuits you subtly cast doubt on the veracity of the accusations. By critiquing how someone comes forward with a story you are lessening the chance that people will come forward at all.

I hate to be all uppity on a sub that’s meant to be silly, but I have a law degree (albeit in South Africa). I don’t practice, but I’m educated on the subject.

she has proof that he assaulted her and is ready to come forward. it isn’t the worst thing in the world that she did this on social media, but it does complicate the case.

she needs to stop posting about him. like I said, any lawyer (or intelligent family member or friend) would tell her this.

everything she has said needs to be investigated by the police and tried in a court of law, not public opinion. she’s opening herself up to a defamation case. sorry, but that’s the reality.

you’re a fantastic virtue signaler. totseins!
