There’s a difference between a book being banned and a book being taken out of a kindergarten classroom because parents don’t want their kids confronted with sexual orientation that early. Calling those books banned is ridiculous.

Dude these books have never been in a kindergarten classroom. Most of them are only available in middle and high school. But conservatives like to spout false info about it and say we are indoctrinating kids by having a book available in the library.

Yet they don’t give a shit about smutty romance novels about a hetero couple that every non school public library carries.

It is false BS. Plus those kids couldn’t even understand the words in the fucking book, I babysit and the 5 year olds I know can barely write their name.

5 years should be perfectly capable of writing their name, that’s a problem.

because parents don’t want their kids confronted with sexual orientation that early.

It is impossible for a person to exist in society and not be confronted with sexual orientation.

Parents shouldn’t have any say what’s available in schools. Still a ban if the order came from the district, not the teachers or librarians.
