But yeah. It’s very simple prose. I personally ADORE that - I care much more about the characters and story, though I do appreciate a good turn of phrase as long as it doesn’t get in the way of my ADD addled brain understanding lol.
Honestly, if you’re struggling with the interludes it’s ok to skip them. It’s also generally accepted the first book is pretty slow to get going. I’d push through, the series gets better and better.

As someone who finished and was left speechless by the first book and is trying to build up motivation to go back and finish the series, what’s the best motivation you can give?
