My eyes are getting sore from reading, and I have a lot of textbooks to read for school. Just wondering if there’s something to help with this? I’m thinking along the lines of some sort of plastic sheeth to place over the text that reverses the colours……but maybe that is an absurd request for magic. Would it be better to consider amber tinted glasses or something? I am reading under adequate lighting…… any help would be greatly appreciated! I did have lasik a few months ago, not sure if that’s making my eyes more tired than usual….

Hi. This would be better suited for our Simple Questions thread, as it doesn’t really invite any discussion (per rule 1).

I would try resting your eyes while you read once in a while maybe like 10 minutes for every hour at least. One exercise that I learned from a doctor is to look up at the sky or any far distance with no particular focus and just stare out into the distance. This helps your eye muscles to relax.

Maybe get your eyes checked and get glasses. Also try different types of lighting setups to see if that helps.
